Season 2 Episode 3: Getting Found on AI Search (GEO) with Tracy Vinnicombe

Tracy’s story is so inspiring. Six years ago during the pandemic, she was a sports massage therapist with zero online presence. She didn't even own a laptop for her business; all she’d used a computer for was to send an invoice, and she had never set up a website or taught online. Fast forward to today, and she uses tools like Claude and Google Workspace to run her business, coach other wellness practitioners, and build passive income streams.

From Simple Recordings to Passive Income

When the pandemic forced Tracy’s in-person, hands-on clinic to close, she had to think on her feet. She started recording simple stretching and breathwork videos, hosting small £6 Zoom classes, and storing her videos on YouTube.

By saving those recordings into playlists, she created a library of digital assets that she still monetises today. As she grew, she tested her offers first before investing in automated systems like ThriveCart. And this is something I share with lots of my clients too: you don't need fancy, expensive tech tools from day one. Set up the simple things first (starting with an email list) test the products and services you want to sell, will actually well and then bring in more tech to save yourself time.

How to Get Found by AI Search (GEO)

AI search is changing fast. Traditional SEO used to be all about getting onto page one of Google. Today, search tools are using AI to give direct answers and recommendations.

Tracy shared two super simple steps you can take right now to make sure AI search tools trust and recommend your business:

1. Cohesive Information Across the Web: AI models crawl the entire internet to verify who you are. If your business name, links, or contact details are different on Facebook, Instagram, and your website, AI won't trust the data. Keeping your branding, name, and details identical everywhere builds immediate trust.
2. Optimise Your Free Google Business Profile: This is the single biggest thing people overlook. AI search engines trust Google Business Profiles first. Fill out every single field (categories, booking links, accessibility, parking) and post a simple graphic or short video to it once a week.

Using Claude as an AI Co-Worker

I couldn’t have Tracy's on the podcast without talking about her favourite tech tool, which came as no surprise to me: Claude. She uses it like an assistant to get past "blank page syndrome" and organise her thoughts. Instead of staring at a blank screen wondering what to write, she dumps in a stream of consciousness, random words, unformed thoughts, and brain dumps, and Claude helps articulate it into clear content that she can then edit in her own voice. 

Even better, she uses a Chrome extension to let Claude co-work directly alongside her services. Tasks that used to require complex Zapier connections are now handled smoothly in the background, making it feel like having another pair of hands in the business. Going from having no laptop or online presence six years ago to using Claude for backend workflows just shows what is possible when you take it step-by-step!
